The Hermit
Upright
solitude · introspection · inner guidance · wisdom · retreat
The Hermit has climbed the mountain and holds his lantern to light the way. This is a time for deliberate solitude, quiet reflection, and listening to your own inner voice. Withdraw from the noise of the world and reconnect with what genuinely guides you.
Reversed
isolation · loneliness · withdrawal · refusing guidance
Isolation has become excessive or self-punishing. You may be rejecting the company or wisdom of others out of pride or fear, or conversely, avoiding the necessary inner work by staying too busy. Solitude should illuminate, not imprison.
